Week 1 Summary of College Football Team Predictions

One thing we get asked a lot by subscribers is, as professional sports tipsters, do we torture ourselves and watch the games we’ve been hurt in? The answer to that is a resounding yes. We don’t just sit in the closet with our fingers crossed waiting to hear our team win from the distance. We are all sports fans long before any of us got involved in this line of work, so we all love to sit and watch sports whenever we can.

As I detailed earlier, we’ve been in the organized professional disability business for 10 years and many of our guys go back 30 years with other entities. We take our job seriously and therefore meticulously plan and study every piece of information to be ready to bring success to our clients. This has allowed us to pick winners between 57 and 62 percent over the life of our existence and thus command an enormous amount of respect in this business.

Going back to the original premise of this article, we let you into our war room on game day to take a look at what happens when all the picks have been made and there’s nothing else to do but watch. Week 1 of the college football season was upon us and this was like Christmas day for all of us. We love soccer, and on top of that we love handicap games for our clients. We picked 38 games in total for Week 1 and posted 23 of our picks for free on our website (a much higher number than usual…we’re generous in Week 1).

The other 15 options made up our PREMIUM package which included our TOP 15 BETS/STRONG PLAYS. This is the package that has made us famous and has been a winner with a success rate of around 62 percent. So once everything was available and our subscribers were taken care of, we all sat in front of 15 televisions in our WAR ROOM and watched… and watched… and watched… and watched. It all started Thursday night when we watched our Rutgers pick annihilate the hapless Buffalo to put us on the board without the first win of the year. Rutgers finished this game down the middle, but with a point difference of 32, there was still a lot of drama to be seen if they could keep scoring to cover that great height. Buffalo was so bad it didn’t even make much of a difference.

So the glory day of Saturday was here and the 80+ games to drag on. Of course, the only ones we cared about were the ones we picked, but to show you that we are leaving no stone unturned, we made sure scouts looked at all the games we didn’t handicap to take notes on those teams in case they went with them in the future. So it went on and on as the barrage of week 1 action was everywhere. We all stay very cool (unless our personal favorite team wins, in my case Miami…which won) because you have to stay calm in this game or you will lose your mind. Every game was winding down early on and we had a few close calls as Memphis was being shut out early but stormed all the way back to just go under the number and become winners. On the other hand, our Colorado State pick looked safe early in the quarter, but some terrible tackles and outrageous penalties allowed Colorado to win in overtime and make us underdogs by a slim margin.

At the end of the day we were all incredibly tired and tired from watching so much football. We are still in no shape to see as many of us noticed our eyes drooping at various points (15 straight hours of watching will do) and at the end of the day we all decided to wait until morning to assess our work. As always, we were confident that we did very well in Week 1.
Our optimism was right as we had a very productive week which you can see when you visit our site. The emails were pouring in from our happy subscribers and surely there was a decent amount of Vegas money that flew out of the casino to our guys. Topping off this great week was the fact that we won 2-0 ATS last night as Clemson beat Florida State and Texas Tech wiped out SMU. That brought the final week tally for Week 1 to 26-12 ATS.

We always summarize our choices on our site (good and bad) so our customers can see that we don’t hide from our choices. We detail in green the games we won and in red the games we lost. Our site is a sea of green this week and we’re sure it will be all season. I really couldn’t ask for much better than that from our guys and we prove once again that when it comes to this game, we are second to none. Now we go to Week 2.
